RollerCAD is operated by Laser Bloom, an Australian business based in South Australia (ABN: 91 532 739 787).

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using RollerCAD (rollercad.com — the “Service,” “we,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. The Service

RollerCAD is a browser-based tool that generates 3D-printable texture rollers from images and patterns provided by the user. The Service includes:

  • A free-to-use generator with on-screen preview
  • Paid subscription tiers (Maker and Commercial) that unlock high-quality STL, 3MF, depth-map, SVG, and PNG export
  • One-time Credit Packs that grant a fixed number of file exports
  • Account management via Clerk and billing management via Stripe

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will give you reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the functionality of your subscription.

3. Accounts

You must register an account to export files, manage your subscription, or purchase Credit Packs.

  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • One account per person. Sharing accounts with others is prohibited.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance, in US dollars (USD), via Stripe. Your card issuer handles conversion to your local currency.
  • Current subscription tiers and pricing are listed at rollercad.com/app.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time via your account billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then.
  • Prices may change from time to time. Existing subscribers will be notified by email at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.
  • Credit Packs are a one-time purchase. Credits do not expire but are non-transferable.

5. Refunds

  • Subscriptions: Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun. If you cancel mid-period, you retain access until the end of that period but are not entitled to a pro-rata refund.
  • Credit Packs: Credit Packs are non-refundable once purchased. Unused credits remain on your account indefinitely.
  • Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a remedy where the Service is not of acceptable quality, does not match its description, or fails to be fit for its stated purpose. If you believe the Service has failed in this way, contact us and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

6. Commercial Use of Digital Files

Only active Commercial subscribers may sell, license, or distribute the digital files (STL, depth maps, SVG, PNG, 3MF, etc.) generated by RollerCAD.

Maker subscribers and Credit Pack users may use their rollers for personal projects and may sell the physical clay items they make with their rollers — but you may not sell, share, or redistribute the digital files themselves.

Selling RollerCAD-generated digital files without an active Commercial subscription is a breach of these Terms and will result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of any unused credits or subscription time, and may result in a chargeback claim against you.

And yes — we browse Etsy, Cults3D, MakerWorld, and Thingiverse daily. We see the listings. We will know. 👀

7. Intellectual Property

Your content. You retain ownership of any images, patterns, or designs you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it for the sole purpose of generating your roller. We do not claim ownership of your uploads and do not use them for any other purpose.

Our Service. The RollerCAD software, branding, logos, and underlying technology remain the property of Laser Bloom. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the Service without our prior written permission.

Generated files. You own the digital and physical roller files you create using the Service, subject to the licence granted by your active subscription tier (see Section 6).

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service to others
  • Use the Service to generate content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful

9. Termination

You may cancel your subscription and stop using the Service at any time. To permanently delete your account and data, contact us.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe you have used the Service in a way that causes harm to us or to other users.

On termination:

  • Your right to access the Service ends immediately
  • Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable
  • Credits remaining on a terminated-for-breach account are forfeit
  • We will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all express or implied warranties.

We do not guarantee that exported files will be printable on every 3D printer or compatible with every slicer. You are responsible for verifying that generated files meet your specific equipment and use-case requirements before printing.

Our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total amount you paid us during that period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Laser Bloom, its operator, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia for any dispute arising from these Terms.
